Based in Deloitte Singapore, the centre will provide indirect tax compliance services for businesses operating in and around the Asia Pacific region.
“The Asia Pacific Indirect Tax Compliance Centre will provide businesses with a standardised compliance process. Businesses will have a single point of contact to manage the compliance process and ensure that the returns are completed accurately and on time” said Mr Connolly.
The centre will leverage the skills of Deloitte’s indirect tax network in Asia Pacific, with full-time specialists working in over 15 countries.
“The Asia Pacific Compliance Centre means that we are now able to offer standardised indirect tax return compliance for every region in the world: Europe; North and South America; and now Asia Pacific. We can serve the largest global clients in an efficient way and with our web-based software tools, a VAT manager outside the region can log in to his computer and get a real-time picture of the indirect tax compliance status of each of the returns he is responsible for. This software keeps us at the forefront of the use of technology in this area and demonstrates Deloitte’s focus on making sure our clients get the best service all the time.”
