Germany: Tax & Legal News, May 2006 - Almanya

The Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) has released a draft law implementing the amended EC Merger Directive into German law. The law, which may be subject to change during the parliamentary approbal process, is expected to become effective in October 2006. The law proposes to significantly change the German tax treatment of reorganizations.
