Korea: MOFE Designates Labuan as Tax Haven Jurisdiction, 4 July 2006 - Kore

The Korean Ministry of Finance & Economy (MOFE) announced on 30 June 2006 that the Malaysian island of Labuan is a tax haven jurisdiction so that foreign investors resident in Labuan may not automatically benefit from reduced withholding tax rates under Korea’s tax treaty with Malaysia.
