Proposed Revision to the Monopoly Regulation & Fair Trade Act On April 23, 2006, the Fair Trade Commission (“FTC”) announced its plan to revise the Monopoly Regulation & fair Trade Act to loosen the requirement of debt to equity ratio imposed on qualified holding companies. With the proposed revision, the debt to equity ratio would be allowed to be 200% (from 100% with the current law). The proposed revision is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly in June 2006.
