Portugal's Draft Budget Law for 2007 includes a number of important measures affecting companies. In particular, the law would implement changes to the EC Parent-Subsidiary and Merger Directives, abolish a 2005 anti-abuse rule, provide for the introduction of advance pricing agreements and some tax benefits. The proposed measures still may be modified before final adoption into law and entering into force on 1 January 2007.
