- Maneuvering Resumes on Tax Cut Reconciliation Bill – With lawmakers back in Washington after the week-long President’s Day recess, congressional taxwriters have resumed working behind the scenes to resolve the differences between the House and Senate versions of tax cut reconciliation legislation (H.R. 4297).
- IRS Seeks Business Tax Issues for Resolution Program – The IRS is asking businesses and associations to submit tax issues to be considered under its Industry Issue Resolution Program.
- IRS Guidance Addresses Energy Credit for Contractors and Homeowners – The IRS published guidance on the tax credits created under the Energy Policy Act of 2005 for constructing new energy-efficient homes and making energy-efficient improvements to existing homes.
