TOFA - A long time waiting
On 16 December 2005 the Government released exposure draft legislation (ED) containing proposals for the tax-timing treatment of financial arrangements, which is based broadly on principles contained in the accounting standards AASB 139 (Financial instruments: recognition and measurement) and AASB 121 (The effects of changes in foreign exchange rates).
