United States: Protocol to U.S.-Germany Treaty Signed, 8 June 2006 - Amerika Birleşik Devletleri
On June 1, 2006, the U.S. and Germany signed a Protocol amending the existing 1989 Income Tax Convention and Protocol. The most notable changes are a 0% rate on intercompany dividends; an updated limitation on benefits (LOB) article; and a mandatory arbitration procedure for competent authority (CA) disputes (the first of its kind in a U.S. income tax treaty).
